LEGO Officially Reveals Wallace & Gromit-Themed Set

LEGO has officially unveiled its first Wallace and Gromit-themed set. The set portrays the beloved British pair in their vintage motorbike and sidecar, drawing inspiration from the stop-motion movies and original clay designs. The set can be preordered on the LEGO online store for $99.99, with a release date set for October 1. As part of the LEGO Ideas line, the set was created after a series of fan-voted submissions, with Sébastien Esnault's winning design being transformed into the official LEGO version.

The set closely resembles the original build, with minor refinements to the characters' faces and the motorbike's structure. Sébastien Esnault, the original fan designer, was inspired by the duo's humor and inventiveness. To achieve the distinctive clay look, Esnault chose the most rounded LEGO elements possible. The 1038-piece set, marked for adults, carries a complexity level suitable for experienced builders.

Although the original motorbike and sidecar have lost their emergency flying features in the LEGO version, the shape, color, and license plate remain faithful to the source material. The set incorporates Easter eggs, such as a box of orange crackers and a diamond, paying homage to the series' iconic scenes. The LEGO listing features videos showcasing the set's poseability, although Gromit and Wallace cannot be separated from their vehicle.
