Kiren Rijiju fumes after viral video shows Indian flag desecration in New York: ‘Will cost you dearly’
The purported video, now doing rounds on social media, shows a man desecrating the Indian flag outside Madison Square Garden in New York.
Union parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju expressed outrage over a video purportedly showing the Indian flag being desecrated outside Madison Square Garden in New York during RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's address. Rijiju shared the video on X, warning against disrespecting the national flag, stating that while criticism of the RSS, BJP or the government is permissible, attacking the flag is unacceptable.
"We always said, you have freedom to criticise RSS, BJP or Govt. but don't abuse our nation," he wrote on X. The unverified video shows a man standing on a staircase with the flag wrapped around his feet, kicking and flaring it, and dancing as others cheered and took photos. The authenticity of the video remains unverified.
