K-pop group Enhypen scores first US Billboard 200 No. 1 with ‘The Sin: Bliss’ as Dolly Parton returns to top five

Enhypen secured its first No. 1 spot on the US Billboard 200 with the release of their EP, "The Sin: Bliss." The group's eighth EP debuted ahead of Ella Langley's "Dandelion" and Olivia Rodrigo's "You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love," according to a preview of the week's rankings. The Sin: Bliss sold 98,000 equivalent album units, including 92,000 in album sales, marking the group's strongest performance to date.

This marks Enhypen's first chart-topper since their debut in November 2020. They now join notable K-pop boy bands such as BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, Ateez, and Tomorrow X Together in achieving this milestone. Among girl groups, Blackpink, NewJeans, TWICE, and Katseye have also reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Sin: Bliss is Enhypen's seventh top-10 entry since 2022, following two No. 2 peaks with "The Sin: Vanish" and "Romance: Untold."

The EP crossed 2.02 million cumulative sales on Thursday, qualifying it as a double-million seller. As the group's first project as a six-member act following Heeseung's departure, "The Sin: Bliss" is the second installment in Enhypen's "The Sin" series, which explores the theme of sin through the story of two lovers facing the consequences of breaking a taboo.

The 10-track EP includes the lead single "Bloody Paradise" and the B-side "Two Fools." Meanwhile, Dolly Parton's greatest-hits collection "Ultimate Dolly Parton" re-entered the chart at No. 5 following her death, while Katseye's "Wild" fell five spots from No. 1, and Stray Kids' "This & That" dropped to No. 8 from No. 3.
