I am tired of being in opposition, my goal is to win in 2028 – Boakye Agyarko

Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, a National Chairman hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed his desire to lead the party to victory in the 2028 general elections. He acknowledged that the NPP is currently on a "lost road" and requires strong leadership to unite the party, rebuild its structures, and restore its fortunes.

Agyarko stated that if the people support him, he is willing to take on the role, confident in his ability to guide and unite the party. He highlighted the need for the party to rebuild its energy and enthusiasm following the lack of preparation ahead of the 2024 elections, noting a general demoralization among party members. Agyarko, a former Energy Minister, emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes and addressing the party's shortcomings to ensure success in the next election.

He expressed his motivation as ending the NPP's time in opposition and achieving victory in 2028, emphasizing his experience, enthusiasm, and knowledge despite his age. Agyarko stressed the need for the NPP to regain the confidence and respect of Ghanaians beyond its membership and argued that past failures should serve as lessons for future success.
