The seven-time world champion expressed his displeasure with the Ferrari team, specifically his teammate Charles Leclerc, when he felt the Italian driver was delaying him due to different race strategies.

Ferrari was criticized for not clearly communicating with Hamilton, either by telling Leclerc to switch places or by swapping Hamilton out of the car at the end of the race. Several fans on social media questioned the logic behind Ferrari's strategy, with one Reddit user stating, "Ferrari pitwall is the one who should apologise; either they should clearly tell Charles to box or swap with Lewis one lap before, or they need to prioritize which driver has a better strategy."

Another fan remarked, "Loving sassy Lewis, but come on, this is just disrespectful towards his team. The team that provides him with the second-best car on the grid. Save it for face-to-face, when the cameras are not on you, Lewis." In a post-race statement, Hamilton admitted to letting frustration show during the race, but defended his teammates, stating, "I take responsibility for that, and I’ll be better.
