GNFS rescues man trapped beneath loaded truck after it overturns at Kibi

A man found himself trapped under a heavily loaded Kia Rhino truck that overturned on Friday, August 28th, near Legend Pub in Kibi, Eastern Region. The accident happened when the truck lost balance after the driver decided to take a side road due to an obstruction on the main road. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to the distress call from the Kibi Fire Station and sent a five-person crew to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters, along with bystanders, were able to rescue the man from beneath the overturned vehicle. He was then taken to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical examination. The preliminary investigation by the Fire Service suggests that the diversion from the main road onto the side road likely caused the truck to lose balance and overturn. Firefighters also worked to clear the accident site and restore normal traffic flow.
