Ghana High Commission in UK steps in as musician Barosky considers returning home

Ghanaian highlife musician Barosky has signaled his intention to return to Ghana due to the intervention of the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom. In response, the High Commissioner, Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, traveled to Manchester to meet Barosky and members of the Ghanaian community.

The High Commission is willing to aid Barosky’s return to Ghana should he choose to do so. Mrs Benson highlighted the importance of restoring the musician’s wellbeing through collective community efforts. She also praised Barosky’s talent, expressing worry about its misuse. The High Commissioner affirmed that the Ghana High Commission leverages the nation’s creative and cultural industries to promote Ghana abroad.

Following the High Commission’s intervention, Barosky expressed willingness to return to Ghana if arrangements are made, appreciating the concern and support from Mrs Benson and the Ghanaian community.
