Germany's Wamser completes move to Man City

Manchester City has officially signed full-back Carlotta Wamser from Bayer Leverkusen on a four-year contract. The 22-year-old German international, versatile enough to play either left-back or right-back, previously joined Leverkusen from Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer in July 2025. This marks City's third signing of the summer, following the addition of defender Niamh Charles from Chelsea and forward Beth Mead from Arsenal.

With several key players sidelined due to injury, including Niamh Charles, Grace Clinton, Vivianne Miedema, Jade Rose, and Laura Wienroither, Wamser's arrival is expected to provide significant support to the WSL champions as they commence their title defense against Birmingham City this Sunday.
