‘First time in Nigeria’s history’ – PRP criticises Tinubu, Shettima’s simultaneous absence

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has expressed concern over the simultaneous absence of President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima from Nigeria. National Chairman Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed raised the issue at the first national summit of opposition political leaders in Abuja. Baba-Ahmed questioned the implications of both the President and his deputy being out of the country at the same time, stating it was unprecedented in Nigeria's history.

He particularly queried the current state of governance and who is in charge. Baba-Ahmed also examined the background of Tinubu's recent foreign trip, alleging it may have been an attempt to avert the release of potentially damaging documents from the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
