FBNBank Senegal partners Dakar 2026 youth Olympic games, advancing youth development through First@sports

FBNBank Senegal has partnered with Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games as the inaugural Official Bank Partner, demonstrating FirstBank Group's dedication to youth development and sports-driven social impact. The Games, which will be the first Olympic event on African soil and held from October 31 to November 13, 2026, will feature around 2,700 athletes from over 200 nations under the theme "Africa Welcomes, Dakar Celebrates."

Olusegun Alebiosu, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Group, emphasized that investing in young people is vital for Africa's future prosperity and stability. As the first Official Bank Partner, FBNBank Senegal is committed to nurturing talent and promoting excellence through its First@Sports initiative.

Ibrahima Wade, General Coordinator of the Organising Committee for Dakar 2026, expressed gratitude for the partnership, noting it aligns with the Group's sustainability goals and supports youth development across Africa. FBNBank Senegal has been involved in the Games since their inception, supporting infrastructure development and providing financial services.
