Family outing turns to tragedy as father and eight-year-old son drown off Pengerang

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 — Last night, a family day turned into a grim tragedy off the coast near a camping area in Pengerang, Johor. The victims identified as Mohammad Nizam Zainal, aged 33, and his son Muhammad Zamri Mikhail, eight years old, were found unconscious by the public and pulled to shore before the arrival of emergency services.

Upon their arrival, firefighters and medical personnel rushed to the scene. Despite their efforts, including administering CPR, both victims succumbed to their injuries at the Bayu Damai Health Clinic.
