Defense minister: Activation of Mecca Agreement to boost security, stability

Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman has reiterated Saudi Arabia's dedication to advancing the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement, emphasizing that its implementation will bolster political and defense collaboration, as well as regional security and stability. Speaking on X, the defense minister disclosed his role in leading Saudi Arabia's delegation at the opening of the Political and Defense Strategic Committee for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement.

During this event, the committee members expressed their resolve to persist in activating the agreement's mechanisms. Following the meeting, Khalid bin Salman engaged in discussions with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir. The two leaders examined the potential for military and defense cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Additionally, they conversed about current regional affairs and the ongoing measures to tackle these issues.
