Daytona Tortugas complete stunning turnaround, clinch FSL playoff berth

The Daytona Tortugas have pulled off an incredible comeback, securing the East Division title in the Florida State League and earning a spot in the playoffs for the third consecutive year. After a disastrous start, with a first-half record of 21-45 and sitting 9½ games behind the rest of the league, the Tortugas turned things around in June.

Since then, they have been on fire, posting a 36-21 record and leading the division by 7½ games with 395 runs scored. Their impressive second-half performance, including a 21-9 record at The Jack, has been the key to their success. The Tortugas will wrap up the regular season with a six-game road trip to Palm Beach this week. This is their fifth playoff appearance in team history, and they will open their postseason run with a best-of-three series against the Jupiter Hammerheads, with Game 1 scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on September 8 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
