Dax-Sentiment: Anlegerstimmung sorgt für heikle Ausgangslage an der Börse

Düsseldorf: The Dax index, traditionally a challenging period during the summer months, has managed to maintain its strength recently. In the past week, the German benchmark index rose by nearly 1.7 percent, reaching a record high of 26,619 points. Although the situation in the Middle East has once again intensified, causing only moderate losses on Monday, the foundation for potential new record highs has been laid, as indicated by the Handelsblatt Dax-Sentiment survey.

The Dax-Sentiment survey, conducted each Friday morning until Saturday evening, polls over 10,000 private investors to gauge their current market assessment. Stephan Heibel, Managing Director of the analytics firm AnimusX, evaluates the responses and supplements them with additional indicators. Investors had almost given up hope of hitting record highs during the summer, but the recent price gains have prompted a more optimistic outlook.

Sentiment improved from zero points the previous week to 2.6 points, placing it in a moderately positive range with extremes beginning at plus and minus four points.
