Asteria Group acquires Dutch label maker GT Etiketten

Asteria Group has completed the acquisition of GT Etiketten & Labels, a Dutch label manufacturer based in Schoonebeek. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. GT Etiketten specializes in digitally and flexographically printed labels, as well as in-house manufactured blank labels. Their operations encompass eight-colour UV LED flexographic printing and label constructions, including duo-layer multilayer labels.

The company caters to various markets, such as food, beverage, and cosmetics, and uses diverse materials and adhesives for different applications. This acquisition adds an additional production site in Schoonebeek to Asteria's Dutch operations, allowing for capacity sharing, knowledge exchange, and utilization of specialist capabilities across the group's network.

GT Etiketten will now be part of Asteria's European production network, while its customers will benefit from the group's broader technologies and packaging capabilities. Asteria's CEO, Ives Declerck, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating that GT Etiketten is a technically strong and flexible company that is close to its customers.

He further explained that the acquisition enhances Asteria's capabilities in the Netherlands and strengthens the group's geographical network. By combining local knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit with the group's capabilities, Asteria aims to provide customers with even more options without compromising the speed and personal service that define GT Etiketten's success.

In a recent move, Asteria Group also acquired Mercian Labels, a UK-based company, expanding its presence in the UK labels market. Both acquisitions were originally reported by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
