Apple Seeds Eighth iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Betas to Developers

Apple has released the eighth beta versions of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 for developers to test out. This update follows the seventh beta release by a week. To download the betas, developers need to go to the General section in the Settings app on their iPhone or iPad and select Software Update. The iOS 27 brings Apple's advanced version of Siri, known as Siri AI, which functions as a chatbot capable of answering questions, finding information, and providing feedback on writing.

Siri AI integrates general knowledge, personal data from various apps, and on-screen awareness to deliver comprehensive responses. New Apple Intelligence features have been introduced in apps such as Photos, Safari, Shortcuts, Wallet, and Passwords. Additionally, a standalone Siri app has been added to manage Siri conversations.

Siri can now be used system-wide to generate text, offer writing feedback, and there's a new Siri mode in the Camera app called Visual Intelligence. Apple has also enhanced the appearance of Liquid Glass and added a slider to adjust transparency levels. The company has focused on performance improvements to make iOS faster, even on older devices.
