Lionel Messi announced his retirement from international football on Monday, ending a 20-year career that transformed Argentina's fortunes. The football world mourned the loss of the "greatest in history" as Angel Di Maria paid tribute to the former captain on Instagram. The Argentine winger shared some of the country's greatest moments with Messi and praised his commitment, despite having opportunities to represent other nations.
