Klarna has also entered the space with its Shopping Search app, allowing users to browse products and offers within ChatGPT. According to PYMNTS Intelligence research, 51% of consumers have used generative AI to discover purchases, while 41% have employed it for managing finances and banking activities. This trend suggests that financial providers have an opportunity to leverage AI as a new distribution channel for their products.

However, the effectiveness of these AI-driven financial products depends on their accuracy, relevance and verification. Financial providers must ensure that the information presented through AI interfaces is up-to-date, tied to authoritative sources, and aligned with consumers' credit profiles.
