Actress Carolyna Hutchings quits ‘Real Housewives of Lagos’ show

Nollywood actress Carolyna Hutchings has announced her departure from the reality television show, The Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL). In a lengthy Instagram post, Hutchings, who returned to the third season after taking a break from Season 2, stated she has moved on from the programme and does not wish to be associated with any aspect of RHOL going forward.

She expressed exhaustion from being part of the show due to the drama involving other cast members and the negative impact it continues to have on her career, personal life, and relationships despite her life and career existing independently of RHOL. Despite her extensive experience in the entertainment industry, which includes over 60 films, three award-winning movies, and job creation for hundreds, Hutchings described herself as an extreme introvert who is selective about the people she allows into her personal space.

She clarified that she does not consider any of the RHOL cast as her friends outside the show, emphasizing that she has never formed cliques or friendships on the programme. The actress also criticised the show for continuing to define her into 2026, despite having ended in early 2025. Hutchings urged the public and bloggers to stop associating her with the personal lives, disputes, and activities of other RHOL cast members as she believes the show is over for her and she has moved on to lead a happy, fulfilling life.
