A.P. CM felicitates Poola Subbaiah’s daughters at Veligonda project inauguration

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu honored Sunanda and Vilasini, daughters of Communist leader Poola Subbaiah, at the inauguration of the Veligonda Project on Monday. The project, named after Subbaiah, was launched in response to the drought-stricken western region of Prakasam district, where irrigation and drinking water facilities were lacking.

Poola Subbaiah, a former MLA from Markapuram, had tirelessly advocated for diverting Krishna River waters to the area during N.T. Rama Rao's tenure as Chief Minister. Subbaiah's second daughter, Vilasini, praised Naidu as a visionary leader, expressing gratitude for the realization of their family's long-standing efforts. She also commended Water Resources Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu for successfully completing the project.
