73 Railways Police ASIs Selected for Elite Police Training

Seventy-three probationer assistant sub-inspectors of the Railways Police have commenced an eight-week specialized training program at the Elite Police Training Centre in Bedian, Lahore. This initiative seeks to bolster the professional skills of new recruits, enabling them to confront contemporary security challenges, manage emergencies, and guarantee the safety of passengers.

The program is particularly crucial for the security of train operations in Balochistan, where the railway network is susceptible to heightened security threats.

The Railways Police IG, Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan, emphasized the significance of quality training in honing the professional competencies of officers. He pledged to utilize all available resources to furnish the Railways Police with the highest caliber of training and vowed to uphold stringent training standards. The IG highlighted that well-trained officers would significantly bolster the overall performance of the Railways Police and reinforce the security of passengers, railway installations, and train operations nationwide.

He asserted that enhanced capabilities would enable the department to respond more effectively to security threats, especially on vulnerable routes in Balochistan.

This marks the inaugural instance of such a specialized orientation course for probationer assistant sub-inspectors within the Railways Police. The expenses for the training session will be borne by the Railways Police Training Fund, ensuring a rigorous and modernized curriculum that aligns with the demands of contemporary policing and security.
