Former French football star Michel Platini has tipped PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to win the Ballon d'Or this year. The three-time Ballon d'Or winner, who served as UEFA president, praised Kvaratskhelia's outstanding performances in the UEFA Champions League, particularly in securing PSG's last two titles. With Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo no longer the dominant forces they once were, the race for the coveted award has become more open and competitive, featuring several strong contenders.
Platini also singled out Kylian Mbappé, Rodri, Lamine Yamal, and Fabian Ruiz as other impressive players in the shortlist. However, Kvaratskhelia remains his top choice for the prestigious accolade.
