16-Year-Old Gang-Raped On Moving Bus In Noida, Dumped 40 km Away In Delhi

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by a bus driver and conductor inside an empty sleeper bus in Greater Noida, before being abandoned near Delhi's Kashmere Gate, according to police. The incident allegedly occurred on August 4 near Pari Chowk. The teenager's complaint states that the accused threatened her with death if she resisted.

Police identified the driver as Kuldeep and the conductor as Sandeep, both of whom were arrested from a parking area in Timarpur on the same day. The bus has been seized for forensic examination, and investigators are reviewing CCTV footage to establish the vehicle's movements and reconstruct the events. The teenager, from Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh, had left home after being scolded by her mother over her studies and was traveling to Noida Sector 63, where her cousin resides.

She mistakenly got off the bus at Pari Chowk during heavy rain and darkness and flagged another vehicle. However, she unknowingly boarded the empty bus, which was returning after repairs at a workshop in Surajpur. The conductor allegedly acted inappropriately after the bus began moving, followed by the accused assaulting her. The teenager was later found abandoned near Ring Road in Kashmere Gate and reported the incident to the police. Both men have been booked under rape, kidnapping, and assault provisions.
