Technician held for throwing stone at vehicle after road dispute on highway [WATCH]

Yesterday, police apprehended a man in his thirties for allegedly hurling a stone at a vehicle on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway near Sungai Besi. Cheras district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Rosdi Daud, stated that the suspect, who is a technician, was apprehended roadside along Jalan Suasa 3, Sungai Besi, around 1:15 am the following morning.

According to Rosdi, the suspect is believed to have thrown the stone at the vehicle, resulting in the shattering of its rear windscreen in an incident that occurred around 2 pm the previous day. The motive behind the act, Rosdi believes, stemmed from a road dispute wherein the suspect felt aggrieved because he claimed the complainant's vehicle had cut into his path.

Following the incident, the police secured a three-day remand order from the magistrate's court against the suspect, effective from today until September 1, in order to facilitate the ongoing investigation. The case is being treated under Section 427 of the Penal Code, which pertains to mischief causing damage.
