삼성전자·SK하이닉스, 상반기 법인세 납부액 11조원 넘어…세금도 껑충

South Korea's major semiconductor companies Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix reported a combined corporate tax payment of over 11 trillion won in the first half of this year, marking a significant increase from the previous year. This surge is attributed to the strong earnings generated by the companies due to the ongoing semiconductor supercycle.

In their second-quarter financial reports, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix disclosed separate financial statements showing corporate tax payments of 3.9876 trillion won and 7.2207 trillion won, respectively. The combined tax payment for the first half of 2023 reached 11.2083 trillion won, more than doubling the same period last year's 4.1906 trillion won.

The tax payments for both companies are expected to continue growing as they reflect the strong profits earned during the year.
