Sidra Medicine, The Pearl International Hospital sign agreement for cord blood banking services

Sidra Medicine, a part of Qatar Foundation, and The Pearl International Hospital have agreed to collaborate on cord blood banking services for expectant parents. Through this partnership, parents will have the option to store their newborn's umbilical cord blood at Sidra Medicine's specialized GMP facility, which operates Qatar's sole Cord Blood Bank.

Prof. Khalid Fakhro, Sidra Medicine's Chief Research Officer, emphasized that the agreement broadens access to a crucial, innovative service for Qatari families. By offering clinical-grade cord blood and tissue banking alongside maternity care at The Pearl International Hospital, patients will receive the necessary information and support to make informed decisions about preserving these valuable biological resources.
