Siddharth explains why he refuses item songs, wife Aditi Rao Hydari reacts: ‘Real hero for a reason’

Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth's fairy tale romance has captured our attention, raising the bar for what love should look like. In an interview with journalist Puja Talwar, Siddharth discussed his reluctance to participate in item songs that objectify women. He stated, "If I'm playing a hero, I want to be a good person. So, I've never done item songs where one woman is surrounded by 40 men who can do whatever they want with her.

If I'm playing a villain, I can do that because the villain gets brutally murdered at the end. Then I'm okay with that." Dr. Delnna Rrajesh, a psychotherapist and life coach, emphasizes that respect is the cornerstone of a strong relationship, more so than grand gestures or displays of passion. Love may initially draw two people together, but respect sustains the connection as the relationship matures. "People frequently equate love with grand gestures, expensive gifts, passionate words or social media displays," Dr. Rrajesh notes.

However, it's often the subtle, consistent actions that demonstrate respect and ensure the relationship remains healthy. "Love is experienced through what another person consistently feels in our presence," she explains. "Do they feel respected? Do they feel emotionally safe? Do they feel important enough for us to give them our time?"

These factors reveal the true strength of a relationship far more accurately than simply asking "Do you love each other?"
