Roger Federer brought to tears during his induction into International Tennis Hall of Fame

Roger Federer was deeply moved during his induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Saturday. The Swiss tennis legend, who has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles, was visibly emotional during his speech at the Newport, Rhode Island event. With a tan suit on, Federer strolled up to the stage, kissed his wife Mirka, and began his induction speech.

He joked about practicing secretly but expressed difficulty in following his own achievements. As he spoke about his childhood hero Stefan Edberg and longtime coach Severin Luthi, Federer choked back tears, calling the moments "happy tears." He admitted to being "stressed" before praising his wife's presentation of the 274th Hall of Famer.

Federer closed his emotional speech by thanking the ball boys and encouraging players to push the sport to new heights.
