Rituals continue for Siddhavateswara temple flagstaff

On the second day of consecration rituals at the Sri Kamakshi Sametha Siddhavateswara Swamy Temple in Siddhavatam, special ceremonies continued on Sunday (August 30). Vedic chanting, Navagraha prayers, and the recitation of the Shiva mantra commenced at 8:00 a.m. Following these, the flagstaff mantra was repeated in adherence to religious scriptures until noon.

In the afternoon, fire rituals dedicated to the temple's deity were performed, along with additional Vedic chanting sessions. The day ended with ceremonies involving water offerings and flower arrangements. On Monday, similar rituals will resume at 8:00 a.m., leading to the flagstaff's official consecration at 10:51 a.m. Subsequent rituals include Purnahuti and Avabhrutham.

The grand flagstaff consecration festival, known as the Dhwaja Pratishta Mahotsavam, will conclude with a benediction ceremony. Ten ritual priests are participating in these events.
