Qatar Charity Delivers High-Impact Education Projects in Gaza

Qatar Charity, despite the turmoil in Gaza, maintained its commitment to education in 2025 and 2026. The charity, backed by generous donors, launched various high-impact education projects. These initiatives provided a stable learning environment for over 24,000 students and staff. The charity's efforts included distributing 9,631 school bags with stationery and clothing for 4,873 children, and 2,055 learning packs that served as condensed textbooks.

Additionally, 14,560 nutritious meals were provided to students in temporary schools, and 60 classrooms were equipped with whiteboards and sanitation supplies.

The charity's Education 2026 campaign is leading the way with the "Back to the Classroom 2" project. So far, the project has distributed 500 school bags and 50 classroom whiteboards, with plans to distribute a total of 6,500 bags, learning packs, and writing boards. The project will also equip 60 temporary classrooms with similar supplies, aiming to create a secure and conducive learning environment for displaced children.

Two new high-impact projects are in the pipeline. The first, "Integrated Support for Schoolchildren," with a budget of QAR 4.7 million, aims to provide 18,250 school bags with learning packs, 40,000 meals, and psychosocial support to 8,000 children across Gaza's governorates. The second project, "Temporary Learning Environment," with an estimated budget of nearly QAR 4.8 million, will improve temporary schools by providing 4,000 double desks, installing 80 water points, and constructing 160 temporary classrooms.
