The Kano State Police Command successfully rescued Alhaji Yusif Nadabo, also known as Sarkin Noman Kano, after intercepting a kidnapping attempt that occurred in Garun Mallam Local Government Area of Kano State. The incident took place around 11:30 pm on August 29, when suspected bandits stormed the Garun Mallam town and began firing in the air. During the attack, the bandits abducted Nadabo, while three local residents were shot and injured - Yusif Nasiru, Salisu Garba, and Ibrahim Hassan, all aged 20.

Upon receiving a distress call, police tactical teams, patrol officers, and reinforcements from neighboring divisions were swiftly deployed to the scene.
