Police raid bandits’ hideouts in Kaduna

On Saturday, the Kaduna State Police Command, in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilance Service, dismantled two bandits' hideouts in Makarfi Local Government Area. The operation commenced at 8:00 a.m., as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). DSP Mansir Hassan, the command's spokesman, revealed that the security personnel targeted suspected bandit hideouts around Durum and Danguzuri, extending to the Kano State border.

Two structures at Rugar Mining Goggo and Ungwar Maryamu, Danguzuri, were destroyed and identified as hideouts used by the bandits to hold abducted victims.

Hassan confirmed that normalcy has been restored in the affected areas, and joint security patrols are still ongoing. CP Rabiu Muhammad, the state commissioner of police, praised the communities for their cooperation and commended the bravery of the security operatives. Muhammad reaffirmed the command's determination to continue its offensive against banditry and other criminal activities in the state.
