Nottingham Forest target Liverpool’s Giorgi Mamardashvili as new No.1 amid late-window reshuffle

Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as their new No.1 ahead of the transfer deadline. The Georgia international, who joined Liverpool from Valencia for £25 million last summer, has made 10 Premier League appearances so far this season. The 25-year-old is reportedly feeling frustrated with his role at Anfield, as Alisson Becker remains the first-choice goalkeeper despite speculation about a potential move to Juventus.

Liverpool is also facing registration issues, as they have reached the maximum limit of 17 players that are not considered homegrown. The Reds are set to sign Bradley Barcola from PSG, who would need to be registered under the current rules. Mamardashvili, however, is an option to leave the club. Forest is exploring the possibility of a deal for the goalkeeper, and they have already agreed a £22 million fee for Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz.

Meanwhile, Forest is also interested in signing a central midfielder, but their talks with Everton over a £40 million deal for Harrison Armstrong have hit a snag due to the Blues' resistance.
