Mokonyane urges ANC members to accept finalised candidate lists

African National Congress (ANC) First Deputy Secretary-General Nomvula Mokonyane urged party members to accept the finalized candidate lists, recognizing that not everyone will be pleased with the selections. At the Free State Manifesto launch in Bloemfontein, Mokonyane acknowledged the ANC's own struggles and welcomed members who raised concerns.

The 1st Deputy Secretary-General addressed a large and enthusiastic ANC crowd in Mangaung, emphasizing unity and confidence in the future. Some disgruntled ANC members protested during the event, displaying placards and criticizing the party for factionalism and dissatisfaction with certain candidate selections. Mokonyane praised the protests as evidence of the ANC's strength and emphasized the importance of organizational discipline.

She expressed happiness with the demonstrations, stating that the party called members out instead of pushing them away. Communication will continue, and ANC members will continue to visit people's homes to encourage voting. Meanwhile, the party's Youth League chairperson, Junior Lehlehla, called on all members to volunteer and contribute, particularly the children of ANC executive members, who live lavish lifestyles while ordinary citizens work hard for the party.

Lehlehla noted a growing interest among students in the Youth League and encouraged everyone to participate, regardless of their financial situation or employment status.
