Mike Norvell identifies key flaw after FSU football's season-opener

In Florida State's season-opening victory over New Mexico State, the Seminoles' defense struggled to meet its usual high standard. Despite the defensive struggles, there were some positives for the team, such as linebacker Chris Jones' interception and pass breakup, as well as the ground game putting up 222 yards, largely due to Ousmane Kromah's impressive 8.2 yards per carry average.

Quarterback Ashton Daniels contributed 202 yards, including a touchdown pass and a touchdown on the ground, along with an interception. However, he faced moments of indecision, likely influenced by the offensive line's inconsistent performance. The Seminoles secured their first win of the year with a 34-17 victory over New Mexico State, putting them at 1-0 heading into their crucial Labor Day matchup against SMU.
