King holds audience with Anwar ahead of 69th National Day celebrations

On the eve of Malaysia's 69th National Day celebrations, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Istana Bukit Tunku. During their meeting, the King was informed about the latest developments in the country, with particular focus on preparations for the upcoming celebrations.

Following the meeting, Sultan Ibrahim shared his thoughts on social media, expressing his hope for a smooth celebration. In a post on his official Facebook page, the Sultan conveyed his anticipation to witness the best efforts of all those involved in commemorating this significant event in Malaysia's history.

He stated, "I hope the independence celebration proceeds smoothly and I look forward to seeing all those involved give their best in commemorating this very important event in our nation's history."

The Dataran Putrajaya is prepared to host thousands of participants, showcasing national assets and vibrant performances during tomorrow's National Day celebrations. This year's theme, "Malaysia Madani: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati," focuses on promoting patriotism while highlighting the nation's history, identity, and spirit of independence.
