Jurists, Judges, Academicians & Financial Experts Unanimously Endorse 'One Nation, One Election' At Round Table Conference

A round table conference on the topic of One Nation, One Election (ONOE) was organized by the Jurists for Justice Foundation. Nearly fifty distinguished individuals, including jurists, judges, academics, legal experts, and financial professionals, participated in the event. The conference commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp followed by the singing of the national song 'Vande Mataram'. Prof. Pritesh Arte delivered the keynote address, setting the stage for the deliberations that would follow.

Eight speakers presented their perspectives in favor of ONOE, each highlighting different aspects of the proposal. These included the constitutional implications from a former justice, the practical aspects from a senior advocate, the economic benefits from a chartered accountant, and the impact on law enforcement from a former police officer. Intellectual property rights expert, former judges, and another district judge also spoke in favor of the proposal.

The Chief Guest, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, emphasized the advantages of ONOE for governance and national development. Despite some dissenting opinions, the conference ultimately reached a consensus in favor of ONOE. A draft resolution was presented and unanimously adopted. The conference was concluded with the singing of the national anthem and a group photograph of all participants.
