Joshua vs Fury collapse impossible – Hearn

Eddie Hearn, the promoter, has declared that the highly anticipated showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is inevitable and cannot be aborted. Speaking to DAZN, Hearn emphasized that the contract for the fight has already been signed, and it cannot be casually abandoned. He clarified that the only possibility for the fight to be halted is if there is a breach of the signed agreement.

"We've signed the contract, we’re waiting for a date. You saw Tyson Fury shouting and screaming. There's nothing to shout and scream about, the fight’s done," Hearn stated. Hearn dismissed the notion that the massive bout was at risk because Joshua was reportedly demanding more money, dismissing it as mere noise. He clarified that although the deal could still be breached, leading to legal disputes, Joshua could not simply change his mind without facing consequences under the contract.

The main disagreement currently revolves around the fight's location. While Joshua's contract mandates the bout to take place in the United Kingdom, Saudi-backed organizers are advocating for Madison Square Garden in New York. Hearn clarified that Joshua is open to the fight in America, provided that the terms are revised. "We know everybody and his dog involved in the fight wants to do the fight in America.
