Iran's president says US peace MoU serves Iran, region and world

Iran's president claims the US peace memorandum of understanding benefits the nation, the Western region, and humanity as a whole. At a ceremony in Tehran, Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the US and Israel will be unable to instigate chaos, aggression, and insecurity in the area, and regional states will be able to pursue stability and progress, according to a statement on his office's website.

Pezeshkian also stressed the importance of thwarting the adversaries' treacherous plans by fostering unity and solidarity among Muslim nations. He reiterated Iran's stance against war, stating that they neither initiate conflicts nor welcome them, but will firmly oppose any aggressor and never surrender to a nation standing strong.

On the same day, Iran's foreign minister warned of efforts to manipulate global energy markets for personal gains and prolong the US war against Iran. Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a decisive strike against a terrorist team affiliated with the US and Israel in southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, killing one and arresting six others.

The new leadership in Iran appears determined to confront the US and prevent unrest domestically, with Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi reiterating Tehran's stance on the Strait of Hormuz remaining closed until the US complies with the memorandum of understanding signed in June.
