In Porbandar, two men kidnap & assault musician; caught and ‘made to apologise’
Two men, Khoda Sajan Keshwala and Nagajan Kala Odedara, have been arrested in Porbandar district’s Visavada area for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a musician. The incident occurred on August 27 when the musician, Firoz Ibrahim Rathod, was invited to play the shehnai at a religious gathering. According to Rathod's complaint, he was approached by Keshwala and Odedara who asked him to play.
After he agreed, they began dancing and pulled him back to continue playing. Rathod eventually pleaded with them to let him go, but Keshwala allegedly threatened to kill him if he stopped. The musician was then forced to continue playing while being driven around the village on a motorbike. When Rathod stopped to cough, Keshwala put a rope around his neck and Odedara punched him, dislocating his jaw.
The men also kicked him and threatened to kill Rathod's entire family if he went to the police. Keshwala and Odedara were arrested by the Local Crime Branch and booked for attempted murder.
