GTA rolls out new updates to website, Dhareeba platform

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has introduced several updates to its official website and the Dhareeba platform. A new Knowledge Centre gathers tax guides and information for easier access. The electronic calculator now helps eligible taxpayers calculate capital gains tax and financial penalties with a step-by-step process. The Tax Agreements page provides clearer guidance on tax agreements and procedures for international transactions.

The Income Tax on Capital Gains page has been refreshed with new FAQs and additional guidance. These updates aim to improve the taxpayer experience and streamline access to tax information, tools, and services. The GTA recently won first place in the 2026 Government Services Redesign Challenge for its Excise Tax Product Registration service, following a partnership with the General Authority of Customs to integrate digital services between Al Nadeeb electronic customs clearance and the Dhareeba tax platform.
