In a notable roster move, the Giants traded a seventh-round draft pick for defensive lineman C.J. Okoye of the Baltimore Ravens, reuniting coach John Harbaugh with a former player. With less than an hour remaining until the cutdown deadline, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. had made the roster. Beckham had performed well during the preseason, catching three passes for 53 yards in the finale. His path to the roster appeared clear following an injury to teammate Calvin Austin on Tuesday. Harbaugh had previously stated that Beckham had earned a spot on an NFL roster due to his strong performance.
