Fernandes hattrick inspires Man Utd’s rout of Ipswich

Manchester United secured a convincing 5-2 victory over newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Old Trafford, thanks in large part to Bruno Fernandes' impressive hattrick. The Portuguese midfielder scored twice and provided an assist, helping United come from a goal down to defeat the Tractor Boys. After suffering a 2-0 defeat to Hull the previous weekend, Ipswich took the lead through Leif Davis on 29 minutes.

However, Fernandes equalized with a header just before halftime and then converted a penalty after Jacob Greaves committed an own goal. The United captain completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish and also provided an assist to Bryan Mbeumo. Marcus Rashford made his first start in nearly two years, while Kobbie Mainoo returned, contributing to United's strong second-half performance.

Despite some defensive errors, including a handball deflected into the goal by Ipswich's Jacob Greaves, United held on to win. Marcus Rashford's debut and the return of Kobbie Mainoo from international duty proved crucial for the Red Devils.
