Enhypen claims 1st No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 'The Sin: Bliss'

Enhypen's eighth extended play, "The Sin: Bliss," has achieved a historic milestone by debuting at No. 1 on the prestigious U.S. Billboard 200 chart. This marks the group's first-ever No. 1 single since their debut in November 2020, breaking the record set by other notable K-pop boy groups such as BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, Ateez, and Tomorrow X Together, as well as girl groups like BLACKPINK, NewJeans, TWICE, and Katseye.

The Sin: Bliss marks the band's seventh appearance in the top 10, all of which have come since 2022. The album had previously topped the chart twice with "The Sin: Vanish" and "Romance: Untold." Billboard's ranking system for the Billboard 200 considers equivalent album units, which include physical and digital sales, as well as streaming and digital track downloads, converted into album sales.

"The Sin: Bliss" generated 98,000 equivalent album units, with 92,000 coming from album sales alone. The EP, released on August 21, is Enhypen's first album since reorganizing into a six-member group following the departure of Heeseung. It has surpassed 2.02 million cumulative sales, making it a double-million seller. The album follows the conclusion of a journey faced by two lovers who break a taboo and flee, and includes the lead single "Bloody Paradise" and the B-side "Two Fools."

In other news, Dolly Parton's greatest-hits collection, "Ultimate Dolly Parton," reentered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 5 following her passing. Katseye's "Wild" dropped from No. 1 to No. 6, while Stray Kids' "This & That" fell to No. 8 from No. 3.
