CJP Threatens Sit-In At Delhi Police Headquarters Over Pending Student Demands

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a planned protest at Delhi’s India Gate on September 5, claiming the central government has not yet met promises made to students following a previous uprising. The party's social media post revealed that three out of four demands remain unaddressed, such as compensation for student families, withdrawal of FIRs, no further action, and an apology from the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Delhi Police.

The party’s founder, Abhijit Deepke, stated that the September 5 protest will be more significant than their previous demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The CJP also plans to march from India Gate to the Delhi Police Headquarters.

Deepke, speaking to journalist Ajit Anjum, said the CJP might engage in an indefinite sit-in outside the police headquarters as long as the FIRs registered against students remain active. He accused the government of failing to keep its promises, despite nearly a month having passed since the previous agitation. Deepke further alleged that the government was misleading students seeking their rights, highlighting the protest as a manifestation of growing discontent with India’s education system.
