Bhiwandi: Mother, One-Year-Old Son Killed After Unidentified Vehicle Hits Bike In Mumbra; Husband, Elder Son Injured

In Bhiwandi, a devastating accident claimed the lives of a mother and her one-year-old son, while the husband and five-year-old son suffered serious injuries. The tragic event unfolded near Retibunder in Mumbra on Saturday evening. The victims have been identified as Sania Raeen, her husband Sajid Raeen, and their children Shahzaib and Shehzad. Sajid and the couple's five-year-old son are currently receiving treatment at Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital in Kalwa.

The family had journeyed to Sania's family home in Rashid Compound, Mumbra, before Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations. Sajid was returning to Bhiwandi with his wife and two children on a Suzuki ATV 125 motorcycle. It is alleged that an unidentified vehicle struck the motorcycle from behind near Retibunder with considerable force. The impact caused Sajid to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in all four occupants falling onto the road. Sania and her young son lost their lives at the scene.

Sajid and Shehzad sustained severe injuries and required immediate medical attention. The unidentified vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident. Police arrived at the scene promptly and initiated a panchnama. The deceased were subsequently sent to Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital in Kalwa for post-mortem examinations. Authorities have launched an investigation and are analyzing CCTV footage from the area to identify the vehicle and apprehend its driver.

The community in Mahada Colony, Bhiwandi, is deeply shaken by the tragic incident. Family members and residents are grappling with the loss of Sania and her infant son, while Sajid and his injured five-year-old son continue to undergo treatment.
