Arshad Warsi Says Kangana Ranaut Came Out With The Idea Of Nepotism: 'Too Much Is Expected Of Star Kids, Not Fair'

Actor Arshad Warsi has spoken out on the ongoing debate surrounding nepotism in Bollywood, revealing that the topic was not even considered when he began his career. Kangana Ranaut was the one who brought up the idea of nepotism, after which it quickly gained traction and became a widespread discussion in the industry. Arshad, however, maintains that while nepotism is present, it doesn't bother him as he believes talent is the key factor in determining an actor's success.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Arshad also addressed the pressure faced by star kids, acknowledging that the expectations placed on them can often be unfair. He pointed out that people tend to assume that children of famous actors must be talented simply because of their parent's careers. Arshad explained, "I also know that it's not easy for a star kid. The expectations are so high. It's like today I see that happening with my child."

He went on to say that while nepotism may provide star kids with an advantage in terms of landing opportunities faster, ultimately talent is what determines whether they can maintain a long-term career in the film industry.
