2027: Sheathe your swords, you will not work in vain – APC appeals to aggrieved assembly aspirants

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on all aggrieved House of Assembly aspirants who contested on the party's platform in the recent primary election to lay down their differences and work towards the party's success in the upcoming general elections. The appeal was made during a meeting held in Ibadan, the state capital, between the House of Assembly Reconciliation Committee and the party's aspirants and candidates.

The committee, which included the governorship candidate Senator Sharafadeen Alli, his deputy Hon. Adesoji Adedeji, and other party leaders, heard concerns from some aspirants who were unhappy with the outcome of the primary election. The party's Co-chairman of the Reconciliation Committee, Hon. Abisoye Fagade, urged the aspirants to cooperate with the party's leadership and assured them of rewards for their loyalty.

Fagade also called for unity within the party, urging members, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters to set aside divisive tendencies and collaborate towards building a stronger, more united, and electorally formidable party. The committee expressed its appreciation to the aspirants for their magnanimity, patriotism, maturity, and commitment to the party's unity and progress.

Party governorship candidate Senator Sharafadeen Alli, addressing journalists after the meeting, noted that the meeting demonstrated significant progress in the party's efforts to secure victory in Oyo State during the 2027 general elections.
