Vance to speak at Republican Jewish Coalition summit after Jewish conservative criticism

US Vice President JD Vance, who has faced criticism from Jewish conservatives, will address the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual summit in Las Vegas on Monday, according to the RJC. The coalition expressed pride in welcoming Vance, noting his previous connection to the organization as a 2022 Senate candidate. This appearance follows the criticism from Jewish Republicans and prominent donors, who prefer Marco Rubio for the 2028 presidential nomination, seeing Vance as Donald Trump's most likely successor.

Some of these donors will be present at the event at the Venetian Resort, owned by the Adelson family, a significant supporter of Trump and various Jewish and Israeli causes.

Vice President Vance has alienated the pro-Israel crowd through his criticism of Israeli officials, endorsement of anti-Israel conspiracy theories, and lack of response to Tucker Carlson, a pundit known for spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories. Several donors have stated their unwillingness to support Vance in 2028 due to these concerns.

Tucker Carlson, whose son Buckley is a former Vance staffer, was a significant topic of discussion at the RJC's 2025 summit, with attendees given signs reading "Tucker is not MAGA." Vance will participate in a closed press fireside chat session, while other high-profile Republican candidates like US Senate candidate Mike Collins and former Rep. Mike Rogers are also scheduled to speak at the RJC conference, which takes place over the upcoming weekend, just a few months before the midterm elections.

Collins has faced accusations of antisemitism and ties to the far right, which he has sought to clarify.
