‘The future of Ghana is in our hands; if Ghana fails, we have failed’ – Ameer tells Ahmadiyya elders

The Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Alhaji Maulvi Noor Mohammed Bin Salih, has warned against allowing religious differences to destabilize the country. Speaking at the Majlis Ansarullah, he emphasized that while partisan politics is not inherently harmful, the tendency to turn political and religious differences into hostility poses a serious threat to Ghana's unity and peaceful coexistence.

The convention, held in Wa, Upper West Region, brought together elders from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community across Ghana, as well as international delegates from Nigeria, Benin, and Burkina Faso. The Ameer delivered a lecture on morality and its importance to national development, emphasizing that morality involves conscious decisions and actions aimed at promoting good, rather than simply being religious.

He warned that religious conflicts could have devastating consequences for communities and nations, stating that religion misapplied can undo a whole community, a whole nation, and the whole of mankind. The Ameer questioned what had changed in Ghana's religious landscape to make people turn aggressive.
